Ridetech 9in Rear Axle Housings: Installing a Ridetech Bolt-On 4-Link into your 1970-1981 Camaro/Firebird has never been easier W/ the help of this Ford 9in Rearend which includes the 4-Link bar brackets already welded to the housing.
The 9in Ford housings are a great foundation for putting torque to the pavement. The housings feature a webbed center section W/ internal gussets W/ 1/4in wall 3in diameter tubes and billet steel flanges (New Style Big Bearing/Torino).
The pinion is offset 1/2in and the axle flange is offset 2 1/2in. Stock and narrowed axle widths are also available to satisfy mini-tubbed applications.
These housings include both a drain plug and jack pad and Grade 8 T-bolt hardware for sufficient strength where you need it. 3rd member studs are pre-installed and ready to accept a third member.
Ridetech is offering their housings in both black power-coat and raw for vehicles that are in varied stages of completion to fit customer needs.
The included 31-spline axles are heat treated from 1541H Alloy and feature 5in x 4 ѕ inch bolt pattern and Grade 8 1/2in-20 x 2in wheel studs. Timken SET20 bearings are pressed onto the axles which also include the bearing retaining plates.
All 3rd Members feature Yukon nodular iron case, aluminum Daytona pinion support, 1350 billet steel yoke, Timken bearings and Eaton Trutrac differential unit. The Trutrac is a helical-gear style limited-slip differential that maximizes wheel traction and enhances driving characteristics.
Available W/ 3.50, 3.70, 3.89 or 4.11 ratio. The included LubeLocker gaskets prevents leaking W/out the use of silicon and is reusable.
