Weigh Safe Tongue Weighing 2in Drop Fixed Height Ball Mount - WSFH2-2

The Weigh Safe Fixed Height Ball Mount makes towing simple—you’ll just want one quick number first.

• Know your trailer’s weight. (A quick look at the registration or a trip across a public scale does the trick.)
• Aim for 10–15 %. That’s the sweet-spot tongue weight range for safe, stable towing.
• Drop the coupler and read the gauge. If the needle matches your 10–15 % target, you’re dialed in and ready to go.

Why it feels different

• See your safety. The built-in scale lets you hit that 10–15 % mark without math on the tailgate.
• Light but tough. Solid billet aluminum shrugs off rust yet weighs less than comparable steel hitches.
• Ready for real work. Handles up to 10,000 lbs—perfect for fishing boats, campers, or job-site trailers.
• Plug-and-tow fit. Slides into a standard 2″ receiver (use a sleeve if your truck’s hitch is bigger).

Know your weight, set your tongue weight, and tow with confidence—every mile, every time, the Weigh Safe way.

The Weigh Safe Fixed Height Ball Mount measures tongue weight, similar to the award winning Weigh Safe Adjustable Ball Mount. The Weigh Safe Fixed Height Ball Mount is designed to function with all standard 2” receivers. The Fixed Height ball mount boasts an industry leading maximum gross trailer weight (GTW) of 10,000 pounds along with a maximum tongue weight of 1,500 pounds, and is constructed with solid bar aircraft grade aluminum alloy.

Please note: The gauge will only work in the drop position. Can be used to tow in both the rise and drop position.

How Tongue Weight Affects Your Vehicle

The tongue weight is the static force the trailer tongue exerts on the hitch/tow ball. Proper trailer tongue weight improves the vehicle and trailer towing experience by improving performance. Not enough tongue weight or force on the hitch/tow ball causes an increase in trailer sway from side to side, making it difficult to control. Conversely, too much tongue weight or force on the hitch/tow ball could overload the rear tires of the towing vehicle, pushing the rear end of the vehicle around. This could also negatively affect the vehicle handling. Performance is impaired as you might not be able to go around corners and curves properly, and your vehicle may not stop quickly enough when you press the brake pedal.

The Weigh Safe Drop Hitch effectively measures the tongue weight of your towing load, improving the vehicle tow load balance and performance.
