When the battery is in a tight engine bay, under a seat, or in a locked compartment that puts it out of the standard charger cable's reach, the Battery Tender® 6ft Quick Disconnect Extension Cable adds 6 feet of reach without moving the battery or the charger. Built with the SAE-style quick disconnect connector used across the Battery Tender® charger and accessory lineup, it plugs inline between the charger's output and the ring terminal harness or clamp set already connected to the battery — no tools, no splicing, no modification required.
SAE Quick Disconnect Connector
The Battery Tender® quick disconnect system uses the SAE J563 two-pin connector standard — the same connector found on virtually all Battery Tender® chargers, accessories, and on a wide range of third-party battery maintenance equipment. The 6ft extension cable is compatible with any SAE-standard quick disconnect charger or accessory, making it a universal extension for any SAE-equipped battery maintenance setup.

When to Use the 6ft Extension
The 6ft extension is the right choice for motorcycles with underseat battery compartments, ATVs and UTVs with enclosed battery bays, classic cars with batteries positioned deep in the engine bay, personal watercraft with hard-to-access battery locations, and boats where a WaveCharge bank output cable falls just short of a battery terminal.
