The cp-e® Connection Pipe set for the Ford Explorer ST is not like any other. The idea of tubing is simple, but the application is specific and carefully crafted. They are designed and manufactured to be significantly stronger than the OEM's. We heard the complaints from many of the Explorer ST owners and they said you needed a more advanced Connection Pipe.
The tubing is CNC bent using 16 gauge stainless and end-formed in-house to keep it one piece. We use a thicker stainless steel for exhaust components close to the engine because of how highly stressed they are due to temperature and vibrations.
Fixtured and welded in house, our fixturing is another step that sets us apart, everything is designed on a computer and fixtured using CAD to ensure uniformity. This increases the time of the first run, but ultimately leads to a superior result.
For these, you can select the Turbo Flex Joint that most people are wanting, or go with an advanced version of the Euro Flex Joint to keep an OEM look. Both Flex Joints have an inner lining that aids in air flow and structural integrity.
