When Roush first released the supercharger kit for '15-17 Mustang GT and F-150 they chose to use an older twin 60 mm throttle body from the first generation Shelby GT500. While this throttle body easily met the air flow requirements for 600 rwhp (727 crank HP) it would not scale beyond that. It also had another issue, it used a less accurate TPS sensor and weaker motor. The factory throttle body electronics in 2015 and up Fords addresses both these issues with a larger motor, improved gear ratio, and more accurate magnetic TPS sensor. We recommend modifying the vehicle with this improved design. VMP created the -F series of throttle bodies for this exact reason, to bring the better electronics to the 15-17 supercharged application.

The older GT500 style electronics are easily identifiable by the dual electrical connector design. Our package includes a reverse TB Y harness to bring both connectors back together.

Built with the same digital electronics found on 2015-17 Mustangs and F-150s (designated by the F on the motor cover) VMP’s line of analog throttle bodies include native electronics. 

Designed for ease of use, the VMP Twinjet 67 mm throttle body is tested and set. Simply bolt the throttle body onto your Mustang or F-150 and load the proper tune.
