[Super Air Filter]

A new genuine replacement air filter that uses a newly developed non-woven fabric filter as the main material. It achieves both high levels of dust collection performance and low resistance.

Newly developed dry non-woven fabric filter

• The density gradient structure gradually changes the filter density from a coarse layer to a fine layer in relation to the air flow, ensuring that dust particles of various sizes are captured in stages. In addition, the optimized fiber structure reduces intake resistance.

Low resistance and excellent dust collection performance

• Despite the reduced intake resistance, the dust collection performance is equal to or better than that of our previous model (capturing more than 95% of standard dust in our tests). Dust is captured reliably, supplying clean air to the engine.

Maintains low resistance for a long period of time

• Not only does it have a low resistance value when new, but it also maintains that level for a long time.

*1. Due to the increased thickness, the plastic frame may float. It is necessary to press it in while installing.

Comparison with general pleated filters

• A typical pleated sports filter captures everything from large debris to fine particles on its surface. This narrows the air passage, and even though the initial airflow resistance is low, it takes a short time for the filter to become clogged.
• The HKS Super Air Filter uses a density gradient nonwoven fabric, which gradually narrows the mesh of the filter to capture larger particles in stages, ensuring air passage and resulting in excellent long life performance.

Replacement filter for Super Air Filter

This is a replacement filter for the Super Air Filter.
You can replace only the filter part with a new one while leaving the plastic frame as it is.
Choose from S, M, or L sizes and cut it to the size of your filter.

* Replacement guideline: 12 months or 10,000km
　(varies depending on vehicle usage).

How to use

1. Remove the Super Air Filter from the vehicle.

2. Disassemble the Super Air Filter frame and remove the old filter.
　If the frame is held in place by tabs, pry the tabs apart
　to disassemble. Be careful not to damage the frame.

3. Cut the replacement filter (this product) (see below).

4. Attach the new filter to the frame.
　Make sure the rough side faces the [○○○○-T] side of the frame.
　Make sure there are no gaps on the surface to which the filter is attached.

5. Assemble the frame.
　If the frame has tabs, make sure all tabs are securely fastened.

6. Reinstall the filter to the vehicle.
　There may be a large gap between the top and bottom of the frame due to the difference in filter thickness.
　In this case, press the filter in while installing it.

Filter cutting method

a. Check the cut shape by stacking the old filter that you removed.

b. Once you have confirmed the shape, trace the cutting lines on the filter using a permanent marker or similar tool.

The coarse side of the filter faces the outside air , and the fine side faces the engine .

c. Cut along the lines.
